25% more filter volume than comparable filters means: better water
quality & healthy fish. JBL is taking the more professional approach:
instead of just raising the pump capacity, JBL has increased the filter volume,
leading to a measurable improvement in water quality.
SSC engineering* for longer cleaning intervals . (*= Sediment
Separation Chamber). This pre-chamber in the filter prevents the filter material
clogging up with dirt too quickly. The service life of the filter is
significantly prolonged and the aquarium-keeper does not need to completely
clean the filter so frequently.
Fully ready to fit . “Plug and Play” is the secret of all
successful technical products. JBL has skilfully applied this golden rule to
filters, too: the aquarium-keeper purchases a ready-to-fit filter, complete with
all components required.
Complete with all basic filter materials . Unfortunately a lack of
sales staff is a big problem in many pet-shops. There are fewer and fewer sales
assistants to give advice. That’s why JBL filters are supplied complete with all
the necessary filter material. This leaves no room for mistakes through
self-service, and guarantees that the filter is filled correctly
Containing lily-pipe (bell-shaped water outlet) for TOP plant growth.
Professional plant growers have known for a long time: spray pipes and diffusers
are plant killers as they rapidly expel the CO2
which has been carefully added to the aquarium water with great effort. Using
the lily-pipe designed by plant experts, the filter water is gently channelled
back into the aquarium, to the benefit of the plants.
Swivelling connection stopcocks. This technical detail is an
ideal solution which should in fact be a standard feature of all modern external
filters.
Almost round cross-section allows improved flow through the filter =
crystal-clear water . Although at first sight the JBL Cristal Profi
external filter does not seem to be round, its external appearance hides a
practically round cross-section inside. Decades ago a round cross-section was
recognised to be the correct filter form, as it is the only shape which
guarantees a steady and even flow of water through the filter chamber. This fact
was somehow forgotten again. JBL has reprocessed this optimum filter
cross-section and incorporated it in a modern and optically pleasing design.
Perfect performance can look good, too!
Extremely quiet operation (ceramic axis and screening of the rotor
casing). Loud filters are cheap, but really get on your nerves after a
while. So JBL has pulled out all the stops to design an external filter which
runs as quietly as possible. And they have certainly been successful - as
everyone who has tried out and listened to the JBL Cristal Profi demonstration
models can confirm!
Simple to install, due to ventilation opening in pump head .
This useful detail prevents air collecting in the filter head, which would lead
to reduced capacity and running noise.
Constant efficiency due to grey-coloured hose against algae growth.
Grey hoses are far more efficient at discouraging algae growth within the hose
than green hoses.
Two-piece jet hose for more variable installation For those aquarium
keepers who still prefer a jet spray hose to the lily pipe, JBL has included a
two-piece spray pipe which can also be laid at an angle.
100% watertight and safety guaranteed by the smallest possible
manufacturing tolerances. And finally the most important reason: perfect safety
guaranteed by meticulously precise manufacturing tolerances. After all, who
wants a swamp in their living room?
Technical details:
- For aquariums up to 120 liter
- Filter mass: 3500 liter
- Capacity: 600 liter
- Input: 12 Watt
- Head: 180 cm
- hose dimension: 12/16
- Inserts: 2 baskets with inlet
- Measure: 190 x 190 x 290 mm (W x D x H)
Note on capacity per hour:
The litre capacity stated on the identification plate refers to the pump running
without hoses etc.
When operating with filter material and hoses, the capacity is reduced by about
30 - 50 % of the levels stated above. The times for 1 l water are approx. 300
l/h.
These levels reflect the JBL Filter philosophy What we want to create is not a "storm
in a teacup" but rather an aquarium with healthily functioning biology. The
water content of the aquarium should flow approximately 1 - 1.5 times an hour
through the filter.
